History of the domain
The history of our Domain in a few words:
In the 16th century, the estate became the property of the family of Cacheleu (hunter of wolves in Picardy), the castle was built in 1742. After a fire in the late 19th century, the farmhouse was rebuilt in brick and covered in slates . By estate the estate came to the Plouy family in the 20th century, then it is a farm.
In 1994, Blandine and Jean-Marie du Plouy created with their son Raphaël a campsite on the farm of 25 pitches with swimming pool and fishing pond: “Le Val de Trie”. Then begins a steady development. The development of a lodging in the wing of the castle in 2004 completes the offer of accommodation.
Today the “Val de Trie” has 70 pitches, 30 cottages for rent, a swimming pool with jacuzzi, a large paddling pool, a fishing pond, a bar-brewery, … Given the success of the “Val de Trie”, the Plouy family decided to set up a new campsite: “Le Clos Cacheleux”, giving priority to space, the 120 pitches offer an area of 230 to 250 m² each.
The Domaine Cacheleux is a family company that still includes an agricultural operation. It allows to accomodate you on 25 hectares in full nature in a playful and ressourcing.
